I'm reviewing a singular food item on rarer occasions that they've caught my interest.
Summary:
Watami's food offerings are pretty good, but the prices have become a little too steep that attaching "casual dining" to their name doesn't really add up anymore. Their okonomiyaki is affordable enough without sacrificing quality. It's really tasty, and dangerously light on the tummy. Ordering two wouldn't hurt and maybe even ordering three as this is a delightfully tasty dish.
Size/Portion/Serving
It's a little on the small side, but it's really fluffy! The egg is bunched up and they don't really skimp on the sauces nor the filling inside. It was a combination of sweet, tangy, and a hint of savory without being too confusing on the palate. Really a good snack but would honestly make for a bad full meal. I hardly doubt this would fill you up (Unless you're on a diet, but then why would you choose this if you are?)
Rating
For what it is, it's pretty straight to the point so I'm giving it a 4/5
Nearly a 3 due to how small it is, but a four because taste wise? You really can't complain.
