Talk about advertising that works, Mad Mark's definitely does. We were brought to this place due to it's lovely ad/standee typography before food court in Glorietta 4 It has a somewhat interesting interior, though it feels rather unfinished. Not sure if they're going for an old ice cream parlour look or for the more 'insane' asylum bit (we even had some sea farer/boat feel). But hey, ambient wise it's not too bad for a new place. In a nutshellThe place had an impression, and they know how to advertise. But the prices are a bit steep for something like dessert. So might be a good dinner date for Valentine's day for around $1.5 - $3 (150-300 pesos) per menu item. |
Food Choices:
From steaks, fries to ice cream -- they have it. Although we honestly just expected a place purely for dessert much like Häagen-Dazs or Dairy queen. We ordered ice cream (two scoops each) and basically the favorite was the vanilla bean and the strawberry, the peanut butter and banana ice cream was too true to the taste that like it's 'real' counterpart you get tired of the taste a little too early.
We also got fries to balance out the sweetness, at $2.50 or so you get normal salted fries and at around $3 you get what we had which is pure unadulterated mozzarella cheese in a basket of fries. At first, it was this scrumptious savory thing in my mouth. But like the banana peanut butter ice cream, I got tired of it.

Value for money is so and so, I mean it's scoops of ice cream that wouldn't really stave off hunger. But then if you're here for that then by all means go for it! It's also a pretty interesting end to a stressful day. The food is good, the service is decent and for a new place it's pretty well-known! Though the chair spacing is pretty decent so there's nothing to worry in regards to the number of people.
